What is Year One?
This performance is meant to be a container. A space to hold whatever is present for you when you enter it. It is a vessel built from memories, a bowl filled to the top for you to reflect in. This show is a space for you to breathe, to be present and to feel. It is an offering: of acoustic piano, ambient synthesis and gentle field recordings. Year One is a collection of audio / visual fragments, put back together for the first time at Delight Factory.
Year One will be a shoes off event, so please wear comfy socks. You are encouraged to sit or lie on the floor. Falling asleep is allowed!

Josh Lim is composer and sound explorer with a passion for creating unique and emotionally resonant sonic experiences. An experienced media composer and emerging sound artist, Josh's music finds the intersection of memory, loss and improvisation. Working across a wide variety of mediums, his work explores the power of sound to give meaning and structure to feelings that often cannot be expressed in any other way.
